Well guys, life is good. Especially today.
We had a "day of prayer" at Covenant, which means no classes and alot of special events centered around prayer and worship. We all went to Rock City for the sunrise and sang praises to God as the sun came up. then we got to pray together for a good hour. It was awesome-seeing God's beautiful creation, singing with so many sincere and joyful voices, and baring my heart before God, and  just talking with him. The weather was not very enjoyable, howling wind on a chilly day. but it was a wonderful time. Later my hall went to the hanggliding overlook and we sang praise songs and prayed some more. then we went back to campus and stormed the carter tower. We all signed the "brethren" pillar, then got kicked out by people who had "reserved it for this time slot" but it was good. I also got some much needed sleep!
Other good things involved getting mail from amy (you're awesome!!!!!), and a check from french creek (for being music director) and to top it off, no homework due tomorrow!!!
so things are swell, peachy, and just plumb jim-dandy!
i think ill work ahead and do work for friday...

so i just checked out xanga life for the first time in a long time... I read everybodys updates and caught up on my friends lives. then i went and checked my footprints. NONE! not any all last week! my site is DEAD. comepletely stagnant. yuck! so that spurred me to attempt at a belated ressuccetation (sp?)
maybe i can bring back some life to this.
so first of all, life is peachy. which means its pretty sweet, but can get rotten quickly. but it's not rotten yet. the sweet things are my awesome new friends, really good christian fellowship, and a good start with cross-country. I ran under 30 min on my first 8K race! (actually my first race ever) so that was awesome and i was very suprised. bad stuff is that it looks like i'm gonna have alot of difficult classes this semester. pretty much i have three HARD ones that everybody hates. but it will be OK. christian fellowship here is amazing. this morning a group of my friends had a prayer meeting that was soo good. there is such a openness with God and a peaceful atmosphere when we pray togehter. it is a truly wonderful time of communion w/God.
other things... I have an awesome work study job. i man a help desk for the audio/visual department.  which means i do homework or use the internet the whole time. I also set up and run sound for events, which means i can go to RUF and get paid!!! I also went to an amazing swing festival in chatenooga. there was a big band and such. i have to go now seeyall!

and now i have facebook, so go there too and be my friend.

school has been good, very busy with paperwork and classes and getting books and writing my pre-class essay and running for cross-country (wich is going very well) and doing classes and freshman orientation...ugh. too much at once. once things are regularly scheduled Ill be fine. I've got lotsa cool friends and such and I know I will enjoy it. even though it's not grove city. I've got no regrets! well, i hope youall are doing great, i probably wont update much here, but i never really did before either...

keep seeking GOD and keep HIM first!

So jesse's got all our pictures up. all 921 of them. yup, that's what happens when you get a sweet new camera...

So if anyone actually looks at ALL of them, let me know, cause then youll win the prize......     ...for wasting time! no it's definately not a waste, there's some awesome stuff there, especially toward the end.

highlights:

amazing mt top views

pitcher plants

me after falling off the side of the trail

60 mph wind, hail, torrential rain(soo refreshingly ICE cold), lightning(struck a tree next to 4 hikers who we talked to-they were knocked down and paralyzed for ~15 min in the legs, then were ok...yikes!)

jesse returning from a successful mission with the "important papers"

us getting drinking water from a puddle of ooze

jesse and I perched on the edge of various dizzying cliffs

some delicious brook trout we caught and ate

awesome lakes

a "giant smiley" we constructed out of a huge boulder and fallen trees

snowballs in july!

a bridge we built over a raging stream

haphazard fordings of numerous waist deep rivers

the"tubs" deep pools of mountain spring water that was the coldest I have felt without ice. jesse jumped in and shot out! I jumped in and felt fuzzy and warm instantly, then burning hot! figured hypothermia isnt good so i got out and still felt good and amazingly invigorated and refreshed. 5 min later was shivering VIOLENTLY!

lots of crazy widlife like the black and white polka dot ckicken (mt grouse)

night hiking!!! awesomely fun!

toads snakes and frogs and biting flies leeches and mosquitoes

a sweet close up of the monumental "millioneth mosquito bite on jesse " the prize for such a accomplishment-instantanious death.

sweet ripe mountain blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries and even cranberries!

sunrises/sunsets and lots of hiking during and between

the mahoosuc notch, a gorge full of giant boulders (where the sun dont shine) it felt like a walk in freezer and had snow and ice in JULY!
